“Came to Melissa a couple of times, knowing how much she has helped a member of my family. My main complaint was that I had developed a very old-looking stoop. I am over 80, but feel so fit otherwise that I was shocked when people commented on my bent-over posture; and when they said I ‘walked like a duck’! Melissa set about training me to walk and stand differently, concentrating especially on the alignment of my shoulders and pelvis, using the core muscles.

She’s sharply observant, quick and clear, good at seeing and explaining what needs to be put right, and how. The Covid-19 lockdown put an end to a short series of only about five sessions, consisting of exercises and some manipulation, but people are already telling me that I stand and walk much better. It feels like that too. She was a marvel at keeping me flexible, giving me exercises and relieving pain.After eventually having a rather complicated hip replacement when I was 70,  that unfortunately involved a fractured femur she was immensely helpful during my recovery.  Her many skills including acupuncture and massage were instrumental in my recovery.  

The exercises that she recommended and explained and watched me doing to make sure I was carrying them out properly were the reason I have made such a good recovery.  I can now continue with my yoga teaching and practice and my long walks in the countryside.
